WHY US
Why Choose BreezeTech for Your Package Unit Installation
Right-Sized Systems, Not Oversold
We size your system to your home before recommending equipment, with an industry-standard load calculation upon request or depending on your system. Too large a system wastes energy and fails to dehumidify properly; too small leaves you uncomfortable and overworked. We get it right the first time by doing the math instead of guessing.
Husband-and-Wife Operated
Micah and Kayla Perkins built BreezeTech on homegrown values: honest recommendations, transparent pricing, and doing the job with integrity. You'll get straightforward advice, not a sales pitch designed to maximize profit. We want you satisfied for years to come.
Tempstar Elite Dealer Advantage
As a Tempstar Elite Dealer, we have preferred access to quality equipment and factory support that ensures parts availability and warranty coverage. We also service all major makes and models, so you're not locked into one brand—if you prefer another manufacturer, we'll install it with the same precision.
Professional Installation and Permits
Installation isn't just connecting pipes. We handle equipment sizing, placement planning, electrical upgrades, ductwork adaptation, sealing and insulation, and all local permits and inspections. Your system will be safe, code-compliant, and warrantied.
Backed by 15 Years of Experience
Our team installs packaged systems across diverse home types, from standard residences to mobile homes and complex additions. We've navigated climate challenges, challenging layouts, and complex ductwork solutions throughout the Papillion area and surrounding Nebraska.
OUR INSTALLATION PROCESS
How BreezeTech Installs Your New Package Unit System
We visit your home and assess its heating and cooling needs. We look at home size, insulation quality, window placement and orientation, local climate zones, and your family's comfort preferences. Upon request or depending on your system, we'll conduct a load calculation to confirm the correct system capacity in tons. Getting the size right is crucial—oversized systems waste energy and fail to dehumidify properly, while undersized systems struggle to reach your comfort setpoint and work harder than necessary.
- We inspect insulation levels in attic, walls, and crawlspaces
- We check existing ductwork for sizing, condition, and leak points
- We identify air sealing issues (cracks, infiltration paths) that affect system choice
- We measure window area and orientation to assess solar heat gain
- We discuss your comfort priorities, zone preferences, and budget range
- We explain how larger isn't always better (oversized systems short-cycle, waste energy, and increase humidity)
- We review your utility bills to understand seasonal demand patterns
- We take photos and measurements to document the assessment for our records
Based on the assessment, we recommend a packaged system in the right capacity. We present options at different efficiency levels (standard to high-efficiency) and explain the long-term value of each, including energy savings, environmental impact, and rebate eligibility. Most homeowners choose the efficiency level that balances upfront cost with monthly energy savings and desired comfort level.
- We show you equipment options within your budget, with side-by-side comparisons
- We explain SEER2 ratings and what they mean for your energy bills over time
- We project energy savings for each efficiency level based on your climate zone
- We discuss warranty coverage on compressor, parts, and component protection
- We present the total cost, rebates available, and your net cost after incentives
- We explain the financing options available
- We answer every question before you commit—there are no surprises later
- We provide you with detailed equipment specifications and warranty documents to review
Once you've chosen your system, we provide a comprehensive quote: equipment cost, labour, permits, inspections, ductwork modifications, electrical work, and any site-specific adjustments. The quote is firm and doesn't change—no hidden costs at the end.
- We list every line item so you understand where your money goes
- We explain the installation timeline and any home disruption
- We tell you about available rebates and how they reduce your cost
- We discuss payment and financing options
- We schedule the installation at your convenience
Before installation day, we obtain all necessary permits and inspections from the local authority having jurisdiction. We also prepare your site: clearing the installation area, arranging electrical upgrades if needed, and confirming adequate spacing for the cabinet.
- We handle all permit paperwork
- We coordinate with your local utility if electrical upgrades are required
- We ensure the outdoor pad or foundation is level and sturdy
- We schedule final inspections before we turn the system on
- We provide you with all permit documentation
On installation day, our crew arrives with all equipment and tools. We remove the old system safely and in compliance with environmental regulations, install the new packaged unit, connect refrigerant lines to precise specifications, run electrical in accordance with all local codes, adapt ductwork as needed, and perform a full system startup with factory testing protocols. This multi-step process ensures safety, efficiency, and reliability from day one.
- We carefully remove the old system, drain and capture all refrigerant per EPA rules
- We haul away old equipment responsibly and recycle where possible
- We set the new cabinet on a level, stable base with proper vibration isolation
- We run refrigerant lines to sizing specifications and insulate them properly
- We connect electrical power supply, thermostat wiring, and control lines per code
- We check all connections and fittings for leaks before pressurizing the system
- We perform a slow, controlled pressure test to confirm no leaks exist
- We charge the system with the correct amount of refrigerant per manufacturer spec
- We run the system through a full startup cycle: heating mode, cooling mode, and controls testing
- We verify all safety switches and shutoff systems function correctly
Once the system is installed and tested, the local inspector verifies the installation meets code. We then walk you through the system: showing you how to operate it, explaining maintenance needs, and answering questions.
- We demonstrate thermostat operation and settings
- We explain the maintenance schedule and what's included in your plan
- We give you the manufacturer warranty documentation
- We provide a one-page guide to common settings and troubleshooting
- We schedule a follow-up call within a week to confirm satisfaction
After installation, we're here for you. Breeze Protection Plan members receive two annual tune-ups and priority service. All customers get our support line for questions and can book maintenance or repairs anytime.
- We test the complete system and walk you through it before we leave
- We recommend joining the Breeze Protection Plan for discounted maintenance and repair
- We're available for follow-up calls if you have questions about operation
- We schedule your first tune-up to happen before the next season

INSTALLATION QUESTIONS
Your Package Unit Installation Answered
A complete installation includes: equipment consultation and sizing, removal of your old system, equipment delivery, installation on a level pad, all electrical connections, refrigerant charging, thermostat programming, ductwork evaluation, safety testing, and warranty paperwork. We handle everything—your only job is to enjoy the comfort.
Upon request or depending on your system, we'll perform a load calculation—an industry-standard method—that measures your home's heating and cooling demand based on size, insulation quality, window area and orientation, local climate zone, and elevation. This gives us a capacity requirement in tons. An oversized system wastes energy and short-cycles; undersized leaves you uncomfortable. Our calculation ensures you get the right fit for your home and climate.
A packaged unit houses all components (compressor, condenser, evaporator, blower) in one outdoor cabinet. A split system has the compressor and condenser outside and the evaporator/blower inside. Packaged units save indoor space and are common on mobile homes, rooftops, and some residential properties. Both work well—it depends on your installation constraints.
Tempstar is a reliable, efficient brand that BreezeTech specializes in as an Elite Dealer. We have strong parts supply, factory support, and training. We also service all major makes and models, so you're not locked in. If you prefer another brand, we can accommodate that—we'll just give you the same installation quality you'd get with Tempstar.
Most packaged system installations take one full day depending on ductwork modifications, electrical upgrades, and site conditions. We'll give you a specific timeline during the quote phase. If your installation requires substantial ductwork or electrical work, it may take longer.
Maybe. If you're replacing an old system, we use existing ductwork when possible. If the ductwork is undersized, leaky, or doesn't match your new system's capacity, we'll recommend sealing, resizing, or upgrading sections. We'll identify any needed work during the assessment and quote it separately so you can decide.
Tempstar equipment includes a compressor warranty and warranties on other major components. We provide all warranty documentation at installation. BreezeTech backs residential systems with a 1–5 year labor warranty, and every installation is done carefully to manufacturer specifications, tested thoroughly, and walked through with you before we leave. If a question comes up after installation, call us and we'll help.
Yes. We offer flexible financing for equipment and installation with approved credit. Financing lets you pay over time with convenient monthly payments. We'll review options during your consultation.
Yes. OPPD and Tempstar both offer rebates on qualifying efficient systems. We help you identify which rebates you qualify for and include them in your quote. Rebates can reduce your overall installation cost depending on the system and current utility promotions.
Join the Breeze Protection Plan for two annual tune-ups, coil cleaning, pressure testing, electrical verification, and 10% off repair parts and labour when needed. The plan also includes priority scheduling and never-pay-overtime fees for emergency service. Regular maintenance extends system life, maintains efficiency, and catches problems early—it's our strongest recommendation.
