WHY GRETNA CHOOSES US
A Heating and Cooling Contractor Gretna Can Trust
Maintenance that fits the calendar
Nebraska's seasons place very different demands on your equipment, and it does best when it's checked before each one starts. We tune up air conditioners and heat pumps in spring and furnaces in fall, so small problems like a weak capacitor, a worn blower motor or a dirty flame sensor get handled before they turn into a breakdown on the hottest or coldest day of the year.
Winter air that doesn't feel so dry
Months of furnace heat can leave indoor air dry, which you may notice as static shocks, dry skin or gaps opening in wood floors and trim. Aprilaire and Honeywell whole-home humidifiers work with your furnace to add moisture back, and we select and install them to suit your system and your home's layout.
Safety checks on every furnace visit
Every furnace tune-up includes a heat exchanger inspection, carbon monoxide and gas leak checks, and a test of the flame sensor, limit switch and other safety controls. If something isn't right, we show you what we found, explain what it means and lay out your options before any work begins. Safety always comes first.
Package units and mobile homes, too
Not every Gretna home has a furnace in the basement. We service residential package units that combine heating and cooling in one outdoor cabinet, and we work on heating, air conditioning and heat pumps in mobile and modular homes, using parts matched to each design. You'll get the same careful diagnosis whatever kind of system you have.
A husband-and-wife team that stays involved
BreezeTech is run by Micah and Kayla Perkins from our Papillion office. Our background-checked technicians arrive prepared, explain what they find and quote the work before starting. We're also proud members of the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce and a BBB Accredited business, and we're glad to serve our Gretna neighbors.
A Gretna Homeowner's Seasonal Routine
Check the air filter regularly and replace it whenever it looks dirty. Homes with pets or ongoing projects usually need more frequent changes.
Book the AC or heat pump tune-up, rinse grass clippings and debris off the outdoor coil, and make sure the condensate drain is flowing.
Keep plants trimmed back from the outdoor unit and watch for warm air, frost on the refrigerant lines or a system that runs without stopping.
Schedule the furnace tune-up, turn the humidifier back on and test your carbon monoxide detectors.
Keep snow and ice away from outdoor units and furnace exhaust vents, and contact us if the furnace short-cycles or blows cool air. Keeping the area around the furnace clear of stored items helps it breathe and makes service easier.

GRETNA FAQ
HVAC Questions We Hear in Gretna
Plan on spring for your air conditioner or heat pump and fall for your furnace. Getting ahead of each season means worn parts are found while the weather is mild and there's more flexibility in scheduling. Breeze Protection Plan members have both visits built into their plan, along with priority service and discounts on any repairs the tune-up uncovers. The plan is transferable if you move.
We clean the burners, inspect the heat exchanger for cracks, check for gas leaks and carbon monoxide, and test the igniter, flame sensor and safety controls. We also look at the blower motor, filter and electrical connections, and we test and calibrate the thermostat. If anything needs attention, we explain what we found and quote the repair before doing it. You're welcome to watch and ask questions as we work.
Yes. A whole-home humidifier works with your furnace to add moisture to the air as it circulates, which can make rooms feel more comfortable through a long heating season. We install Aprilaire and Honeywell models and set them up to suit your home. We'll also show you how to adjust the setting as outdoor temperatures change through the winter, so windows don't fog up on cold mornings.
Yes. We repair, maintain and replace residential package units, which house the heating and cooling components in a single outdoor cabinet. Because one unit handles both seasons, we inspect both sections at each visit: the coil, blower, electrical connections, drain and, on gas models, the burners and heat exchanger. We'll explain anything that needs attention before starting work, and the quote comes first.
Emergency service is available upon request. Our regular hours are Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM and Saturday 8 AM–12 PM.
It isn't usually necessary. Outdoor units are built to handle Nebraska weather, and a fully wrapped cover can trap moisture and give rodents a sheltered place to nest. If you want some protection from falling ice or debris, a breathable cover over the top alone is a better choice. Remove it before cooling season. A heat pump runs all winter and should never be covered.
Common causes include a dirty flame sensor that shuts the burners off, a failed igniter, a clogged filter tripping the high-limit switch, or a thermostat fan setting left on. A blocked condensate drain on a high-efficiency furnace can also stop the burners. Check the filter and thermostat first. If the problem continues, we'll diagnose the cause and quote the repair upfront, before any work begins.
Yes. Special financing is available on new heating and cooling systems with approved credit. We'll go over the options when we quote your replacement, along with any OPPD or Tempstar rebates your new equipment may qualify for. We also offer discounts for first responders, military members and veterans, and we'll explain how the current offer applies to your project before you commit to anything.
You'll work with a small, husband-and-wife operated team. Micah and Kayla Perkins founded BreezeTech in Papillion in 2020. GRETNA SERVICES
HVAC Services for Gretna Homes
Here's what BreezeTech handles for Gretna homeowners, from routine tune-ups to full system replacements. Each link leads to more detail about that service and how we approach it. Every visit starts with a diagnosis and an upfront quote, whichever service you need.
Furnace Repair and Tune-Ups
We diagnose ignition problems, weak heat and short cycling, and our fall tune-ups clean the burners and inspect the heat exchanger. When a furnace reaches the end of its service life, we handle replacement as well, sizing the new furnace to your home and testing it thoroughly at startup.
Central Air Conditioning
From a capacitor replacement to a new Tempstar system, we cover AC repair, maintenance and installation. Every repair ends with a check that the system is cooling the way it should, with refrigerant, airflow and electrical readings checked.
Heat Pump Repair
If your heat pump blows lukewarm air, ices over or runs without stopping, we check the defrost controls, reversing valve, refrigerant charge and backup heat, then quote the fix. We also repair heat pumps paired with a gas furnace.
Mini-Split Maintenance
Ductless units need their filters, indoor coils and blower wheels kept clean to perform well. We maintain Daikin, Bosch and all other major makes of mini-splits, and we clear the condensate line so the indoor unit doesn't drip.
Package Unit Maintenance
An all-in-one outdoor unit handles both heating and cooling, so we check both sections, clean the coil, clear the drain and inspect every electrical connection. Gas models also get a burner and heat exchanger check.
Humidity Control
Aprilaire and Honeywell humidifiers and dehumidifiers help balance moisture through dry winters and humid summers, working with the system you already have.
Mobile Home HVAC
We repair, maintain and replace heating, cooling and heat pump equipment designed for manufactured and modular homes, including downflow furnaces and compact air handlers.
Maintenance Plans
Join the Breeze Protection Plan for a spring and fall tune-up each year, priority service, member discounts on repairs and indoor air quality products, and no overtime fees.
